Move over Gore - McCain invented Crackberries!
Holtz-Eakin: McCain helped create BlackBerry
Asked what work John McCain did as chairman of the Senate Commerce Committee that helped him understand the financial markets, the candidate's top economic adviser wielded visual evidence: his BlackBerry."He did this," Douglas Holtz-Eakin told reporters this morning, holding up his BlackBerry. "Telecommunications of the United States is a premier innovation in the past 15 years, comes right through the Commerce Committee. So you're looking at the miracle John McCain helped create and that's what he did."
Al Gore, call your office.

Home Foreclosures and the Republicans in Michigan
I may not know as much as Remote Controller about the array of political issues that should impact voters on election day but I do know that this is absolutely egregious and horrifying.
It makes me want to cry when I think that we are wasting days on end arguing about things as ridiculous as this whole "lipstick" silliness, and ignoring blatant lies and complete disregard for our rights.
I signed up to start volunteering for Obama in the coming weeks....RC - want to go hang out somewhere outside of Manhattan and berate some people about Sarah Palin? We can still have cocktails right after. Promise.

Most delicious looking pig's head ever
Convention? Sure I watched if you mean Sunday Night Football.
"Fiscal conservative" = for inequality
According to this NYTimes article the GDP for USA (how many 3 letter acronyms can I use?) is almost twice as big for Dems as Reps.
Not only that, the inequality gap closes when Democrats are in power. Now I realize all you "fiscal conservatives" are like "Yes! This is exactly what we mean!" but in reality the top 95% of people do equally well under both Dems and Reps. It's the poor that do better under Dems - which means that you socially conservatives might get by with even fewer social programs.
"Ferris Bueller’s parade has officially been rained on."
Z: Why didn't you tell me this was going to happen:
Principal Rooney should've be so lucky: Ferris Bueller’s parade has officially been rained on. Tomorrow's fourth annual Deitch Project’s Art Parade — which, this year, would've attempted to re-create Ferris Bueller’s Von Steuben Day Parade (in the movie, Matthew Broderick, in a leopard-print waistcoat, sang "Danke Schoen" to an adoring crowd of thousands) — has been canceled owing to tomorrow's expected tropical storm. City rules prevent Deitch Projects from obtaining another permit until spring 2009, and this will leave 900-plus artists and their audacious floats with nowhere to go, though we hear there will be a party (indoors, we hope) for the participants. Project Bueller is currently seeking advice on how it might infiltrate Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
B: I mean, I knew that deitch art parade was this weekend, didn’t realize the theme!
Z: You invite me to some lame art walking tour but yet have no Idea about a totally awesome Ferris Bueller themed parade, what's up with that
me: Thanks for putting things in perspective. My life is meaningless.
Z: Don't be so dramatic
#1 thing I'm horrified by today.
Entirely unacceptable. Remote Controller agrees.
